What people say about us

My name is Travis Brummett, and I completed my DTS at YWAM Davos in 2008/2009. I can honestly say that these 6 months were some of the best times of my life. Reto and Judy treat every student and leader that come through their base as if they were their own children. They were so encouraging in guiding me along in my walk with the Lord. They have successfully created a DTS which allows students and leaders the room to grow in relationship with God and new friends. I still have relationships with many of my fellow YWAM-ers, as well as with Reto and Judy, and I plan on visiting them in Switzerland during my honeymoon this coming October. I have been so blessed to watch these two love each other and the Lord so much, and share that love with others. My life was changed during those short 6 months, and I have never been the same since.

When you come to YWAM Davos, you don't just join a school, you join a family. That is exactly the way that Reto and Judy will make you feel the second you meet them. Working and learning beside the two of them has been one of the biggest blessings of my life and I give them some credit in forming who I have become today. Everything about YWAM Davos is special. From the area it is in, the people who go there and to the power that god brings to that place. I won't forget about my time spent there until my time here on this earth is over. And if you do a SDTS here too, I know you will feel the same way I do.

Being completely surrounded by the Swiss Alps, living life with people so passionate about loving others and the freestyle culture; I don't know a better setting than this to fall deeply in love with God.

Reto and Judy are one of the finest couples I know. They lead with a true passion for Jesus, their staff and students. They have an amazing vision for impacting the shred culture. On the base they have created an atmosphere of love, freedom and honor. Which is empowering their staff and students to be powerful people. The base in Davos is awesome, they have their own little park in the back yard, and only a few minutes to walk to the closest gondola station. The riding on the different mountains around Davos is rad! Both park and free riding. As far as I am concerned this is a perfect place to serve Jesus, change the world and get some good riding in.

In the 3years of knowing and working alongside Reto and Judy, I've had the pleasure to witness and to personally experience their love of Jesus and their love of people. I've also witnessed them as a family living out and being faithful to Gods great commission (Matthew 28:19).
A blessed family and a blessing to call them friends!

Youth With A Mission

To Know God and Make Him Known

Youth With A Mission is a global movement of Christians from many cultures, age groups and traditions dedicated to serving Jesus throughout the world.

Also known as YWAM, the organization began in 1960 and it's main focus was to get youth involved in missions. Today, YWAM is still focused on youth, and it also involves people aged 9 to 90. YWAM currently works in more than 1,100 locations in over 180 countries, with a volunteer staff of over 18,000.

One of the joys of participating in YWAM is to work with people from many nations. YWAM’s staff (known as “YWAMers”) come from over 130 countries, including places like Indonesia, Nepal, Mozambique, and Colombia.

YWAM’s many ministries fit into three main categories: Evangelism, Training, and Mercy Ministry. Through these ministries, we desire to see God’s transformation in every area of society.

Evangelism

Christ’s love inspires us to use many creative means to make His gospel understood to any audience. Tools such as music, performing arts and sports are used to connect with people of all ages and develop friendships which can lead to conversations of eternal value. YWAM also helps start churches in places where there may be no church at all.
We believe everyone has the right to hear the good news about Jesus and our hope is to see fellowship of believers worshiping and following Jesus in every nation, tribe and tongue.

Training

Through our training programs we aim to better equip Christians to grow in their relationship with God and to serve others in everything from agriculture, health care, business development and biblical counseling.
Our introductory course, the Discipleship Training School (DTS), is offered in many nations and languages. It’s an intensive six months of learning to be more like Jesus and serving Him in the world.
YWAM’s Training Institution offers specialized study in areas such as science and technology, linguistics, humanities, and Christian ministry.

Mercy

If you believe it, you have to live it. YWAM’s mercy ministry teams follow Jesus’ example of compassion to those in need. We operate relief and development programs in over 100 countries, working among people living in desperate circumstances.
Our volunteers serve in areas such as agricultural assistance, the prevention of human trafficking, health care, and micro-enterprise development. Their goal is to ease suffering and provide hope for those affected by poverty, disease or injustice.
